I think it would add a little more space by putting a button on it or using a keyboard shortcut for it

Not sure if I understand what you mean here… you can just click on the expand button at the top right (top left in some operating systems).

Is there another reason for having a button to do the same thing? :S

Can it be done? Yes. Not sure why though when it already exists though as part of the OS… unless I'm misunderstanding what you are saying.

i meant full screen not maximizing and i also meant a button that will make the window expand over the taskbar and everything else like F11 on windows

I have a feeling that might not be possible but I'll look into it.

What should you see when it's in "fullscreen mode"?

  • Menu bar hidden
  • Toolbar visible
  • Status bar visible

?

One thing I'd definitely keep there is the status bar, as I use that for reporting any errors or problems that aren't important enough to need a popup dialog.

yeah just remove the menu bar and can the fullscreen be used by pressing a certain button like chrome does it with F11 on Windows?

Yes, the default for every application is F11 for fullscreen mode.

Which reminds me… I need to bind F1 for help too…
