I agree, FaR is one of my most-used features of other text editors. There should be some thing in Java designed for this that I can tap into as well, so hopefully it'll be easy to do. 02 Jul 2010 15:09. Edited 0 times. (Edit, Permalink) Have looked into this and from what I can tell there's no built-in classes or methods for this that I can find… which is surprising. It should be easy enough for me to write the code that can do this from scratch (would only take about an hour at most, including testing) the hardest part will be making all of the components in the dialog box line up properly… as a dialog box would be needed for the GUI part of this. Overall it would probably take 2-3 hours. So whilst it's not too long, I'll put this off for a bit and focus on some other things - like keyboard shortcuts for saving - which keep annoying me every time I use STE (and so I'm guessing those things annoy others as well). So whilst I definitely want to add the feature, I'm going to remove the 'Accepted' status, and work on other wishes first.
