Please give your opinion on this:

Ignoring the crossed out ones (they resulted from a bug I haven't quite figured out yet), what do you think of the things that are currently being reported?

Everything you see in the table is what is reported - there are no extra details. Most specific usage report is when STE is started up, because it also sends OS information and the version of JVM being used.

• Is the information too identifiable?
• Is the information sent too often? (for too many things)?
• Would you be comfortable with usage statistics enabled, if it reported like this?

I'm considering giving complete control over this: you can decide to only send usage stats when STE is started… or only when you print, or for everything except opening and saving … for example. Every "feature" listed in the table would have a checkbox.

This is more work to implement though, so I'll only do that if that's what users want. Otherwise it'll just be a master "enable all" or "disable all" usage statistics.

Personally, I'd be quite happy with you implementing the whole thing with just an enable/disable options in the settings.

I've decided that the actual release will only include tracking for when STE is started up, shut down, and when the preview feature is used. Therefore open/save/import/export/print tracking will be removed from the test version.
