Importing a Wikidot page from the web requires the following:

  1. Proper configuration of your API key.
  2. Proper permissions from the site and page you want to open.
  3. A working Internet connection.
To import a page, click the "Import (Open from Web)" toolbar button.
import-from-web01.jpgEnter the site name and page name and click the "Import page" button.
import-from-web02.jpgIf everything is entered correctly and you have proper permissions, the page loads into STE.
If you don't have proper permissions, the site does not exist or the page does not exist, an explanatory error message is displayed.

After my first import I had a very strange look at the edit/file window : ABSALOM ( or so)….

only after detecting the PF4 ( settingsd) and the fonts selection I could change the layout and size ofthe fonts (sanserif).

I think it would be a good idea to mention exact this behaviour at the first timne for other newbees!
Would it be possible to download a complete site ( and auto save the pages )?
Best regards

I'm going to delete this page soon (all documentation is moving to the wiki:, but I will answer your questions here anyway.

As with the font - it is different on every computer by default. When I allowed you to customise the font, I wanted to make Inconsolata the default… but unfortunately this was more difficult than I anticipated and I ended up not including it any more.

Would it be possible to download a complete site ( and auto save the pages )?

This is what version 4 will do. I have started development on this release already, and you can follow @wdeditor on Twitter to read the latest news and announcements about it.
