The Network settings are on the third tab in the STE settings dialog.

Changing these settings is only necessary if you intend to use STE behind a corporate network (a workplace or educational institution) that requires HTTP Proxy Authentication for Internet access.

  • HTTP proxy authentication is required: Tick this box to enable STE's proxy authentication, disable it to use a direct connection to the Internet (no proxy).
  • Host: This is your proxy's host name, e.g. proxy.my-company.com
  • Port: Enter the port number that your proxy uses, e.g. 8080
  • Username: Put your company username here (not Wikidot username)

Note: This settings tab does not ask you for your password. Instead, a dialog pops up and asks you for the password every time it is required.
