It would be awesome if you could populate a drop-down list of a user's sites using the user.sites method to make importing and exporting easier.

I just got caught up on reading things over at developer.wikidot.com and see that user.sites currently returns all sites a user is a member of. Definitely not good in some cases. An alternative that would be helpful is a way for us to build our own list of sites we'd like easily accessible. Kind of like a browser favorites list.

If the user.sites method is enhanced in some ways, such as my suggestions on developer.wikidot.com, then this will be much more useful.

Is anything happening on this front? I just spent some quality time with STE tonight and would have really liked to have a feature like this available to me. I'm helping a user who is juggling 12 sites and needed to access all of them multiple times tonight. Being able to select them from a favorites list would have been a lot easier.

On the API front … no, nothing has changed.

However I can certainly look into allowing you to manually add sites to a favourites list in STE. Similar to the list of installed extensions, you'd be able to add and remove sites from the list whenever you want.

Back-end support for this has been added, and I'm actually using it for an unrelated feature…

… all that remains is to add support for this into the GUI, so that you can actually use this when importing / exporting.

Wikidot is dropping support for the user.sites method.

There are other changes planned as well, one which makes your current API keys invalid (solution: update STE with the new key).
