Cannot start STE

I start STE.exe, the Launcher v1.02 appears, it says Version 0.00, and when I click on Update 4.0.4 a messagebox with an error pops out:

Download Failed
Could not download update - Unexpected Error:
For input string: "0.00"

It seems like something is not working…
Starting it as admin does the same.
I cannot find anything about this message in internet.

Included page "inc:signature" does not exist (create it now)

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear about this! And from that error message, I'm not entirely sure what the cause of the problem is. I will look into it and see if I can resolve the problem.

However, in the meantime please try the previous version of the launcher and see if that works for you: STE Launcher v1.01

Thanks for the answer.
I tried v1.02 on another pc too, same behavior.
The previous version suggested again says "Version 0.00" and gives the error.
Tried on Java 6 and Java 7 32 bit on Windows 7 x64.
